April Monthly Mix in Motion

Hey everybody, the March mix ended up being over 2 hours of awesomeness. Check it out.

The April mix is now in motion and is already growing. I'm still a bit amazed by how much good music has already been released this year. I found gold in California by bay area folks Trails and WaysSarah Bethe Nelson, and Vetiver. And from LA, Tall Tales & The Silver Lining -- and Warpaint finally released the full 7 minute long version of No Way Out too, I thought that first one was just a taste. Also some things I missed out on from last year, like Kansas' Shy Boys, and some from many years ago -- a jam from pastoral jazz folkies, Pentangle, a super jam by kraut pioneers, Can, and a super extendo jam by La Düsseldorf. Can't forget the new one from Portland's Houndstooth and another 80's inspired tune from Lower Dens that reminds me of The Smith's classic "How Soon Is Now?" The whole thing kicks off with "Acid", a lightly tripped out modern classic in the vein of Tommy James' "Crimson and Clover" and The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane," from Faith Healer's Cosmic Troubles, another great new discovery from our friends up north. What are you listening to? Let's talk!
